How to: Set Super button to show desktop
From EasyPeasy Wiki
[edit] Introduction
This is simple How To on setting the Super button (the keyboard key with a house icon on it) to toggle on the ume-launcher.
The ume-launcher sits on the desktop, so all you need to do is change the "show desktop" key binding to that key. The default keybinding of Ctrl + Alt + d is easy to use, but using the Super button simply makes more sense.
[edit] Instructions
- From Home, select the Preferences menu, followed by Keyboard Shortcuts
- Scroll down and click on Hide all windows and focus desktop (it's in the Windows Management section)
- Press the Super button
Now on top of using the go-home-applet, just use the Super button on your keyboard to accomplish the same thing. This key binding acts as a toggle, so you can go back and forth from your active window to the ume-launcher.
Experiment with other key bindings through the Configuration Editor to make other applications and commands even simpler to run on your Eee pc using Ubuntu-eee. Custom term papers
