[edit] Programming

  • Geany - Geany is a text editor using the GTK2 toolkit with basic features of an integrated development environment. It was developed to provide a small and fast IDE, which has only a few dependencies from other packages.

[edit] System

  • Compact Themes - Get out the most of your screen
  • EEE Control - one-stop solution for all special Linux Eee PC needs. It allows you to configure hardware and hotkeys, switch between performance levels (very much like Asus' Super Hybrid Engine) and more.
    • Note: eee-control may stop your sound from working (google for eee-control and sound), however you can try whether it works for you, and if not you can simply uninstall it (and reinstall eeepc... that it removes) and after a reboot the sound will come back.

[edit] Video

  • Elisa - Turn your eeePc into a media center pc From the site "The Elisa Media Center has many advanced features that will make your media center experience unique. It features an intuitive interface with a professional look and feel which can be easily used with a standard TV remote control."
  • Zattoo Live TV.
  • FreeTube Live TV (with support for more countries!)
  • VLC VLC Media player, comes with many codecs and just works, unlike totem ;) [$>sudo aptitude install vlc]
