How to use Main Menu instead of Menu Bar

[edit] Main Menu and Menu Bar

The "Menu Bar" is the standard ubuntu menu which delivers Applications, Places and System. The "Main Menu" is smaller. It's just the ubuntu icon and when you click on it, you have the complet menu including "Places" and "System".

[edit] Remove the Menu Bar

You can remove the "Menu Bar" by a right click on it (on the "Applications" Label or somewhere) and then select "Remove from Panel".

[edit] Add the Main Menu

Right click on a free place on the panel you want the menu and select "Add to Panel...". Highlight the "Main Menu" icon and click "Add". You now can move it to place you want it.
