The main pages seems to keep being changed to a load of spam. It needs to be protected (at least semi-protected). Like a pierced condom?

Asking Questions
Is there any place to ask questions to the team? I'm looking to get my new 10" eee working right with ubuntu.
I have installed Ubuntu-eee in a new ASUS eee 1000. Neither the wired network connection or the wi-fi work and taking out the battery and replacing does not fix the hardware problem. Information to fix?
Thanks for any help.
Remove the text "Skype instead of Ekiga"
Clarification: Skype doesn't work with the SIP protocol and Ekiga doesn't work with the Skype protocol, they are two different client for different protocols so Skype can't replace Ekiga and the oposit.
current version
It looks like the current version is still 8.04, i.e. with the openssl bug? Is there a fix for that?
Also from a FOSS point of view, software with source is always better than software without it. One reason I wanted to switch from Xandros to Ubuntu was to use Ekiga instead of Skype. Does Ekiga work? Thanks.
EEE 1000
First off....good show, really appreciate all the work that goes into this.
I need some help with a few little things. First off, and most mildly, my sound on my 1000 doesn't function properly. When adjusting the levels with the function key, it uses a steep logarithmic scale instead of linear, and has a bad habit of getting stuck on half output, even when it is at max. To get it to output max, I then have to mute and unmute. I get the same problems with any programs that use the sound card. All of them start at half volume, even though it is set to max. Is this a glych or do I have an install problem?
Secondly, My previous install of UE3 crashed and wouldn't boot. I had to re-install it. Now it goes to a boot screen every time I try to boot it up. Thing is, the previous install was formatted and doesn't exist, making the boot screen redundant. Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks.
