Hi Guys,

I installed the ubuntu on a eee pc 901 and it works (for the most part)

I encounterd the folowing problems.

Web cam off was still disabled in the Bios WLan off was still disabled in the Bois

But remaining problem is that I can not connect to a wifi using Netwerk Manager?

NM is seeing the hardware (I believe , because I can select a netwerk, and the signal stregth is displayed)in "Network settings" But going into "edit wireless networks" the field that has to show the avalible netwerks is empty?

Did I forget something to install?

Kind regards

[edit] "Could not find kernel image: linux"

I followed the process up to booting and chose the usb to boot from. Immediately I am presented with the following:

SYSLINUX 3.71 2008-07-31 EBIOS Copyright (C) 1994-2008 H. Peter Anvin

Could not find kernel image: linux

boot:

I don't know what to do from here and your guide doesn't mention this problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

[edit] "Cursor blinks once usb disk has been selected in boot menu"

eeePC 900 4 GB USB Stick

I followed the procedure as below:

1. Format USB stick FAT32 2. run Unetbootin in windows 3. install the easypeasy.iso onto the usb stick using unetbootin 4. setup the eeepc bios to a) disable sd card reader b) put the usb stick as boot priority #1 5. booted and pressed 'esc' to get the boot options menu

The result is just a blinking cursor and a black screen.

Could someone point me in the right direction for a solution to this problem?

Note - I've updated my eeepc to the latest bios version.
